About Linda

Linda Rueckert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina. She earned her B.A. in English from Utah Valley University in 2003. While in school she worked at a residential treatment center for adolescents as a counselor and mentor. This experience prompted her to continue her education in social work and she earned her MSW from Boston College in 2007.

Linda started her professional career working in a day treatment program in South Boston running psychiatric and psycho-social group therapy. Seeing the importance of community based psychiatric care, Linda transitioned to working for a private PACT team (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) in the greater Boston area. As part of the PACT team, Linda worked as an substance use disorder specialist, cognitive behavioral therapist, ACT specialist and family therapist. She earned her certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions at Boston University and pursued Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as one of her main theoretical approaches to care. Linda relocated to Sundance Utah to work at a private residential substance use disorder treatment program where she was able to work with an elite team of clinicians to address individual and family issues related to substance use. She then returned to the Boston area and worked as a clinical supervisor in a medication assisted treatment program training other therapists and working with individuals and families. She recently relocated to North Carolina where she looks forward to bringing her unique skill set to assist individuals and families improve the quality of their lives and reach their personal and familial goals.

Linda believes that the most important part of the therapeutic process is the relationships between the therapist and the individual. She creates an atmosphere of safety and honesty in her sessions through compassion, empathy, humor, stillness and deep respect.

Linda works primarily with adults.
